Singapore Family Trip Day 4 - Cloud Forest @Gardens By The Bay

UP A MOUNTAIN DOWN THE SEA!!!

In the morning, we visit World's largest aquarium - S.E.A. Aquarium,
at noon, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome at Gardens By The Bay...

We go to Cloud Forest first.
"A 35m tall mountain covered in lush vegetation shrouding, World's tallest indoor waterfall showcases plant life from tropical highlands up to 2,000m above sea level..."

Via Chinese Garden and Indian Garden.

Banyan Tree (Ficus benghalensis)
The National Tree of India, Banyan Tree is considered sacred and symbolises eternal life. In Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva is sometimes depicted as sitting in silence under this tree.

The woodcarvings are so delicate! Is it Zhuge Liang?

Here We Are Cloud Forest!!!
It is chilly cool!!! So many visitors take photo under the waterfall!!!

Waterall
Plants absorb abundant rainfall, release water gradually, create a constant, long-lasting supply for the land beneath them, support more plants...

Planted Wall
Mountain is densely planted with a mixture of orchids, ferns, bromeliads, begonias and carnivorous pitcher plants. All are epiphytic and live on top of other plants in nature, require little substrate and are adapted for growing on vertical walls.

"The higher you go...the more restricted and rare the species you will find..."

Lost World
Cloud forest vegetation at around 2,000m above sea level.

Waterfall View
Cloud forests capture water droplets from mist and fog by means of epiphyte-laden branches.

Crystal Mountain
Stalactites and stalagmites in Crystal Mountain Cave

Tree Top Walk

Secret Garden
The end of journey in Cloud Forest, at the foot of mountain. Plants belong to families that were once growing in abundance on earth, yet are increasingly rare today...

In the twinkling of an eye, we finish the journey in Cloud Forest. It is not only a beautiful attraction in Singapore, but also a meaningful environment education!
